About Roz Bhav
Roz Bhav shows today's gold and silver rates for 112 Indian cities, in English and Hindi, with the source and the time of every number on the page.
What this site is
One page per city that answers the questions people actually ask before visiting a jeweller: what is the 22K rate today, how much is one tola, is gold up or down this week. No news, no market commentary, no pop-ups.
Petrol, diesel, LPG and mandi (crop) prices are planned next, on the same pattern: a number, its source and its date.
Who runs it
RAGHAV builds and runs Roz Bhav as a solo project from India. Write to the address on the Contact page with corrections, questions or suggestions; replies come from a person.
How the rates are collected
Gold and silver rates are the national benchmark published twice a day by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the same rates banks and the RBI use. A small program reads IBJA’s public rates page after each session and stores the numbers, the session (AM or PM) and the date exactly as published.
Every page shows the rate’s date and session, when IBJA published it and when we fetched it. If a fetch fails, the previous rate stays on the page with a clear badge. Nothing is estimated or filled in.
There is no official per-city gold rate in India. City pages show the national benchmark, labelled as such; jewellers add making charges, a small local premium and 3% GST. Where a city’s own board rate is published, it appears beside the benchmark with its own source.
Links, update times and licences for every source are on the Data sources page.
What we do not do
No accounts, no app-install banners, no notifications, no spun text. Ads keep the site free; they never sit above the rate card.
